The Cañon City Area Recreation and Park District is hosting the annual Clean Up Green Up event on Saturday, April 25, 2026.   It is a great time for the community to work together and help clean up trails, open spaces, and riverbanks. With everyone working together we can clean up the areas around the Arkansas River corridor through Cañon City, the Arkansas Riverwalk, John Griffin Regional Park, and South Cañon Trails. 

Come help protect our water and area recreational resources by removing trash along the Riverwalk and area trails.   It is a great way to get many of our natural wonders spruced up in time for the annual Blossom Fesitval and the summer.  Bring your work gloves and help us keep your public lands beautiful!

  • Starbucks is bringing coffee for your morning pick me up!
  • Clean up begins at 9:00 a.m.  Volunteers will be given locations to focus their efforts.
• Trash bags and water will be provided.
• Please bring your own work gloves.
